Tate why save anything

Her eyes were wide open but she was non-responsive. Her throat was completely closed up. Panic had begun to settle in on the boat. The guides were no help. Did she get stung by something? Did she have a heart attack? Did she just drown?

For some reason, I only thought, asthma attack. Caraway and Tate tried everything they could think of. They tried to give her CPR, but it was clear that no air was getting in. They got out the extra inhaler and sprayed it into her mouth. It was as if her airways had closed up shop for good. Caraway looked up and saw only ocean. Tate looked down and she could tell they were almost out of time. We have to do something. It felt like she was looking into my soul.

At first, Caraway recalled, it seemed like a waste of time and valuable medicine. What if she did start breathing again and needed it, only to find that it was all gone? We have no other options. From inside her throat came a popping noise, like a dam breaking. There were no oxygen tanks on board, nothing even resembling a medical professional. The boat was now racing toward land, but Caraway had no idea what state his mother might be in after what felt like an eternity without breathing.

The Evolution Begins. Eventually, the concrete slab was removed and access flooring was being utilized in every area throughout a project. But the need for higher-end hard surface finishes in certain areas remained, and so a new solution was used.

An underlayment would be put down over top of the access floor panels, and then the hard surface finish would be laminated to that. This allowed a pathway to be created and extended throughout the entire building, but severely limited the ability to access or configure the spaces where underlayment was used without considerable work. Modern Finishes Arrive. Today, everything has changed for the better. This range of options means that it's easier than ever before for architects and designers to capture the look their clients want, without having to sacrifice any of the benefits that are traditionally provided by an access floor.

And, since all of Tate's finishes ship from our manufacturing facility as a finished product, they arrive to job sites ready for installtion - potentially saving time and money, while providing for a higher quality end result than can normally be achieved when working in the field. We're Here To Help. Time Is Money. Tate access floors and high-end finishes are the smart choice for any project.

Despite holding the Turner bequest, some oil paintings and around 30, sketches and watercolours presented to the gallery five years after the artist's death, the Tate's national collection contains none of his finished Swiss watercolours. Director Nicholas Serota said: "To bring one of these great watercolours alongside the bequest would be an extraordinary achievement and would be of lasting benefit to all Turner scholars in the future.

If the fundraising campaign is successful, The Blue Rigi will become the most expensive single work of art ever bought by the gallery. To mark the launch of the campaign this morning, the Tate placed The Blue Rigi on display alongside its companion pieces, The Dark Rigi and The Red Rigi - the first time the three have been seen together.

The free exhibition will remain open until March
